The Japan Corporate Governance Research Institute, Inc. is a non-profit group of academics and business people dedicated to promoting a deeper understanding of appropriate corporate governance practices for Japanese firms in a global economy. To promote our objective, we have developed the JCGIndex, a tool to help firms and investors better understand the state of corporate governance in individual firms and Japan as a whole.

The 8th Corporate Governance Survey -JCGIndex Survey of 2009-
The 2009 survey started on August 1. The questionnaire was sent to the corporate representative of all the listed firms on Tokyo Stock Exchange Section I. A survey report is scheduled to be announced on December 1, 2009.
